![]() Climbing tall buildings sucks, I was always in a state of stress, nearing a full rage blow out. The side step dodge has killed me a lot, I have gone flying off buildings because of it. The super precision of ranged npc's this was so annoyingly stupid. Not only that but they have super health. Volatiles are unsurvivable, I'm not sure what health you need to survive an encounter with them. Difficulty of some bosses was not fun especially with the sticky buttons. The underwater city is cool, that's where all the sunken airdrops are. I flew from the VNC building to the sludge wall and lo and behold an invisible wall stopped me going further, damn that sucked. Paragliding around is fun, with the booster it's a bit better, but you still run out of stamina quickly if there's no vents nearby or if your flying around up high. Maneater actually had this exact same issue, I noticed the issue on the PS4 version too, so I reckon with this game both versions have issues. I still have combat issues with the buttons on the PS5 feeling sticky and at times I'm pressing attack but nothings happening. I went nearly completely into stamina and that certainly helps make that part feel less annoying. Saddened to see that it ended up being so. It also severely limits your ability to wander around in the wild/forest settings, which is what I was hoping wouldn't be a thing a few months before it came out. ![]() I found the best weapons in Sunken cargo chests, I found a video for the infinite durability so I don't need to loose those weapons to breaking woohoo! I've explored every inch of the map, the toxic sludge is indeed annoying af it's everywhere truly and makes exploration less fun. Bloody Ties is a safe, short expansion that gives dedicated Dying Light fans some new stuff to mess around with, but there’s not much to entice other people to dive back in.Edit: Okay so after finishing the main story and a few side stuff, things have picked up a bit. Still, those looking for a reason to return to the streets of Villedor have finally gotten what they’ve been waiting for. With as strong of an emphasis as Dying Light 2 placed on its main story, I kept waiting for Bloody Ties to make a narrative impact that never came. It’s not that long, the characters aren’t that interesting, and the combat encounters get stale very quickly. Ultimately, Bloody Ties is quite underwhelming compared to the base Dying Light 2 experience. These are small improvements but they add up, and these under-the-hood enhancements make Bloody Ties feel like much larger of an addition than it actually is. Console players now have an FOV slider and a balanced graphics mode that provides the best of both worlds between framerate and picture quality, PC players now have access to AMD FSR 2.0 to boost performance, and the game now has a gritty color grading option to make it look more like its E3 2019 trailer. The DLC isn’t just about a fight club though, since Aiden also gets swept up in some family drama right from the get-go.Īlong with the chapter-specific vendors, which remain in the game permanently after their addition to ensure players can obtain their gear at any time, Dying Light 2 now has new game plus, a photo mode, and plenty of other improvements. It centers around a massive combat arena called Carnage Hall where Aiden inevitably climbs to the top. Instead, Bloody Ties is a side story that takes place during the main story of Dying Light 2. Fans of the series have been clamoring for more Dying Light 2 since the game’s roadmap was first revealed, and that’s exactly what Bloody Ties is: more Dying Light 2, for better and for worse.ĭespite being the first piece of story DLC for Dying Light 2, the Bloody Ties DLC does not pick up after the end of the main storyline.
